Templates or Courses?

On Screen Learning Acgtive IQ Templates

The reason we refer to them as templates is to provide flexibility in adapting different aspects of the course to suit the specific training needs and delivery style of educators. Templates offer a starting point for educators to create their own courses or learning activities by providing a pre-designed framework or structure. This allows educators to customise and modify various aspects of the course, such as the learning objectives, assessment criteria, and activity formats, to better align with their teaching style and the needs of their learners. By using templates, educators can save time and effort in designing and developing courses, while still maintaining a level of consistency and quality in the course materials. This flexibility is particularly useful in creating bespoke courses or training programmes tailored to the specific needs of learners or organisations. Here are 5 points that further explain the use of templates coming from LTI to an LMS: Efficient course development: Pre-designed templates provided through LTI integration can save educators time and effort when creating new courses or learning activities. Customisable content: Templates can be tailored to the needs and preferences of educators and learners, allowing them to modify and adapt the pre-made content to suit their specific requirements. Consistent quality: Templates provided through LTI integration can ensure that courses are consistently designed and of high quality, regardless of the instructor or course creator. Enhanced engagement: Pre-made templates may include interactive learning activities, quizzes, and assessments that can help to improve student engagement and participation, leading to better learning outcomes. Streamlined integration: By integrating pre-made templates into an LMS through LTI, educators can access and use them easily and without having to switch between different systems or create content from scratch. This can save time and improve the overall learning experience for students. Blog Posts Templates or Courses? What is an LTI? 5% of the students will give you 95% of your workload. 5% of the students will give you 95% of your workload.

As an educator, I’ve often used the phrase, “5% of the students will give you 95% of your workload.” You know what, I have absolutely nothing to back up the thing phrase. While there may not be a specific study or evidence to support this claim, I’ve observed it throughout my years of experience. The statement highlights the importance of being proactive and responsive to the needs of all students in a course. By providing additional support and resources to students who require it, we can help ensure every student has the tools they need to succeed. As educators, we must remain vigilant to potential workload imbalances and be prepared to address them. Look to ourselves before looking at the students. By doing so, we can help create a supportive learning environment for all our students.
