Supporting Antenatal and Postnatal Clients through Fitness and Well-being

A specialist Level 3 technical specification investigating maternal health pathways, biomechanical adaptations, and professional exercise programming for the childbearing year.

Course Introduction

This specialist training equips fitness professionals with the clinical depth required to safely manage antenatal and postnatal clients. Across four thematic areas, learners investigate maternal health terminology, nutritional support for trimesters and lactation, and biomechanical changes during and after pregnancy. The curriculum emphasises risk management, pelvic floor re-education, and the practical application of Chief Medical Officer (CMO) exercise guidelines.
